SUMMER TALK

‘Royal Air Force Airfield in Henley on Thames in the Second World War’.

Given by Angus Ross and Richard Miller

Venue – The Eyot Centre, Wargrave Road RG9 3JD

 

You will hear the story of the local wartime activity at the airfield also revealing the local construction, in secret, of Spitfires which were then assembled and flown from this Henley WW2 airfield.

Our talk will last approximately 40 minutes and will be supported by a pictorial presentation, after which there will be a period for questions, followed by our usual complimentary drinks and nibbles.

Tickets priced at £10 each, both for Members and Guests are available through our  normal channels.

Henley Town & Visitors Regatta

The T & V Regatta normally takes place on the fourth Saturday after the end of the Royal Regatta and so we expect the 2026 renewal to be on

     Saturday 1st August 2026

and we will be sponsoring a race again

Come and enjoy the music of Barry Owen and the Main Attraction again and also a pig roast by the Spitting Pig Co.
